PORTO IN 3 DAYS: DAY 1 – THE HISTORIC SOUL OF THE CITY

The first day is designed to immerse you in Porto’s traditional charm: scenic viewpoints, historic monuments, riverside walks, and one of the city’s most beautiful sunsets.

Miradouro da Rua das Aldas

A small hidden viewpoint around the Cathedral, offering a stunning panorama of Ribeira. The front of St. Lawrence Church frames the view perfectly.

Porto Cathedral (Sé)

One of Porto’s architectural gems. Romanesque, Gothic, and Baroque styles blend here, and the cloister is spectacular.

Hours: 9:00–17:30

Church of Santa Clara

A masterpiece of Portuguese Baroque. The golden interior is a surprise, especially considering the modest facade.
Hours: 9:00–12:30 & 14:00–17:00

Dom Luís I Bridge

Porto’s absolute icon. Cross it above or below, but the view from the top is unforgettable.

Nova Gaia Cable Car

A short but beautiful ride connecting the bridge with Gaia’s wine cellars.
Price (April 2025): €7 one-way
Worth it for photos and avoiding the climb.

Cais de Gaia

Lively atmosphere, famous wine cellars, riverside terraces, and perfect views of Porto. Ideal for a relaxing stroll.
