PORTO IN 3 DAYS: DAY 2 – ART, CHARMING STREETS, AND THE BEST SUNSET

The second day is dedicated to Porto’s most vibrant and photogenic areas. Get ready for historic bookstores, epic views, and authentic neighborhoods.

Lello Bookstore

One of the world’s most famous bookstores. Both the central staircase and the neo-Gothic architecture will leave you speechless.
Tip: buy your ticket in advance.

Carmen Church & Hidden House

Its tiled facade is one of the most photographed in Porto.
Between the two churches hides the narrowest house in the city, once inhabited.

Clérigos Tower

Porto’s most famous viewpoint.
Height: 76 m
Price: €10
The climb is absolutely worth it.

Rua dos Caldeireiros

A medieval street with a history of blacksmiths. Perfect for strolling and feeling the city’s traditional essence.

🍽️ Lunch recommendation:

  • Taberna de Santo António
  • Ora Viva
  1. Miradouro da Vitória
Abandoned but offering one of the best views of the Douro and Gaia.
  2. Largo da Pena Ventosa
One of Porto’s most authentic corners. Colorful houses, narrow alleys, and total tranquility.
  3. Rua dos Mercadores
A historic street with a medieval layout. Vibrant and full of life.
  4. Escadas do Barredo
The most authentic neighborhood of Porto. Steep stairs, clothes hanging, and stunning views of the Douro.
  5. Dom Luís I Bridge
Essential again—this time to cross to Vila Nova de Gaia.
  6. Jardim do Morro – Sunset
Probably the best sunset in Porto. Relaxed atmosphere, music, and incredible views.

🍽️ Dinner recommendation: Bacalhoeiro
